Three of the most common procedures in cosmetic dentistry are bleaching, bonding, and the application of Laminate Veneers.

Bleaching
The procedure is simple: Impressions are taken of your upper and lower teeth. From the impressions, the doctor makes custom "trays". Then you are instructed on the use of your personalized, professional whitening system.

Bonding
Corrects chips, cracks, and spaces. It is often completed in one visit and in some cases does not require the use of anesthesia. The process involves preparing the surface of the tooth with an etching gel, which will allow a composite resin to adhere. A blend of various color resins are used to retain a natural appearance. After the resin is applied, the doctor hardens it with a special light. The surface of the tooth is then smoothed and polished.

Laminate Veneers
Veneers correct the same problems as bonding but they last longer. Veneers are tooth shaped shell coverings that are cemented onto the surface of the tooth.

Amazing results can be achieved sometimes just by the reshaping of uneven or twisted teeth. Reshaping of the enamel of the outer layer of tooth structure is harmless and painless. These appliances are adjusted at 3 week intervals and present an option to the Invisalign® appliances.

With Invisalign®, you wear each set of aligners for about 2 weeks, removing them to eat, drink, brush, and floss. As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth move until they have straightened to the final and desired position Dr. Rex Hoang DMDi has prescribed. You'll visit Dr. Rex Hoang DMD about once every six weeks to ensure that your treatment is progressing as per your treatment plan. Treatment time averages 9-15 months using from 18 to 30 aligners.

Removable Appliances
Removable minor tooth movement appliances are fabricated in a pink acrylic with wire springs, sometimes in conjunction with elastic bands. The springs are on the inside and adjusted by the dentist at three-week intervals to apply pressure to the tooth where realignment is intended. They are usually worn for a six-month course of treatment.
